Common neurological gait variations and compensations – understanding what you see
Presenter: Sarah Turner, Senior Neurological Physiotherapist
This presentation explores common gait variations and compensations that people with neurological conditions may present with and provides a brief guide on using a structured systematic approach to facilitate gait analysis. It also covers how to take a good video, why this is important, and the importance of allocating time with peers to analyse and discuss the videos taken.

- Understand what functional mobility means with reference to commonly used outcome measures
- Explore common compensatory gait patterns and deviations
- Learn how to take a good video and apply this to day to day clinical practice
