The FND Biopsychosocial Model

In this module we delve further into understanding the current theory of FND in recognition of the need for a deep understanding of the complex factors at play with this condition. Without this understanding a clinician will struggle to connect well with a client and provide the required education and particular approach to treatment required with this patient population to make a positive impact.

  • Altered neural networking
  • The culmination of social, psychological and biological factors in FND
  • Symptom and onset variability
  • Prognostic factors in FND
