Exploring the challenges and the positives through example case studies

The focus of this module is highlight through the use of case studies and video the range and complexity of patient presentations and provide insights into variations in approach to these individual clients. We will briefly discuss the background of the individual in regards to factors potentially contributing to their presentation as well as outlining an overview of their physiotherapy management and treatment approach.

This will be done through case study examples of:

  • Severe dystonia and mobility impact
  • Severe functional weakness needing a wheelchair
  • Managing dissociation with weakness
  • Coexisting psychiatric illness
