I work as a physio. I see a lot of clients in a sub-acute or chronic phase post stroke. With the recovery potential post-stroke, I often find it challenging to know when to refer for orthotic assessment vs. persisting to train gait with nil aids. I was wondering if you had any advice or particular criteria that you would recommend to help guide my clinical reasoning and timing for orthotic referral?
